QR-coded MTCs are hitting our docks

We received an EN 10204 Type 3.1 MTC with a QR code from a plate mill this morning, and it cut our receiving verification from 35 minutes to about 10 by auto-matching the heat 7D2146 to tensile and chemistry in our LIMS. Is anyone mapping this to ASTM A6/A6M and ISO 17025 record controls so an offsite 3.2 witness with an e-signed MTC will clear a surveillance audit?

It’s great to see how the QR codes are cutting down your verification time from 35 to 10 minutes! We’ve had success using QR codes too, but I wonder if anyone’s figured out how to integrate them seamlessly with ISO 17025 record controls… It could really streamline the audit process — have you found any tools that help with that?

I love how it’s making the process quicker — like going from dial-up to fiber optics — have you noticed any other benefits from using these MTCs, @tom_fraser76? I’m curious if they’re helping with traceability as well?
